Faith has a prevalent influence on Jimos’ life. It influences his perspectives, conduct, character, and conversations. It also permeates within his music. Jimos was introduced to music by his uncle Wayne, a guitarist, as a child in the early 90s. The art of creating sounds of melodies and harmonies was a new concept, a musical expressive concept that he would learn to cultivate over many years to come.

Growing up, Jimos experienced the best of both worlds being raised in the city and country by his parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunties. Consequently, gospel, rhythm and blues, funk, jazz, reggae, soul, pop, rock, hip hop, rap, blues, doo-wop, bebop, country, and classical music was the soundtrack for his life and it has helped Jimos see and feel life and the world as it would exist. Though Jimos endured his own tragedies, heartbreaks, and depressions, he also experienced life, love, and faith. He expresses his life, and the views thereof, throughout his music.

He respects the rights and freedoms of all people, while remaining true to himself. Regardless of all the encounters that Jimos had to confront, (the good, the bad, the lovely, and not so lovely), there is one thing that persisted, his faith. Through faith, he realized that all resources have limits, as well as some sources. However, there is one source that he deems limitless. Perhaps, this is why his name is a statement, a reminder to others and himself, that declares, Jesus is my only source -Jimos.
